Modern Highway Upgrade to Improve Delhi–Jaipur Connectivity
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has prepared a comprehensive master plan to modernize the Delhi–Jaipur Highway (NH-48) between Kherki Daula and Dharuhera. This important highway corridor handles thousands of daily commuters, commercial vehicles, and long-distance travelers. The proposed upgrade aims to reduce congestion, improve traffic movement, and strengthen regional connectivity between Delhi, Gurugram, Manesar, Bhiwadi, and Rajasthan. The project is expected to enhance road safety while supporting faster economic growth across the NCR region.
Better Traffic Flow and Reduced Travel Time
One of the key objectives of the highway redevelopment is to ease traffic bottlenecks and shorten travel time for daily commuters. The master plan includes improvements such as better lane management, upgraded interchanges, service roads, and modern traffic systems where required. These infrastructure enhancements are expected to increase vehicle capacity and provide smoother movement on one of India’s busiest national highways. The project will also improve logistics efficiency for freight transportation connecting North India.
Boost for Real Estate, Business, and Industrial Growth
The redevelopment of the Kherki Daula–Dharuhera stretch is likely to create new opportunities for real estate investment, industrial development, warehousing, and commercial businesses. Locations including Manesar, Bhiwadi, Dharuhera, and Gurugram could benefit from improved accessibility and better transportation infrastructure. Faster highway connectivity often attracts new residential projects, logistics parks, manufacturing units, and retail developments, making the corridor increasingly attractive for investors and businesses.
NHAI Focuses on Future-Ready Highway Infrastructure
With rising traffic volumes on NH-48, NHAI’s master plan reflects a long-term strategy to develop smarter and more efficient highway infrastructure. The modernization project is expected to improve commuter convenience, enhance road safety, and support sustainable urban growth across the Delhi–NCR region. Once implemented, the upgraded highway will strengthen connectivity between Delhi and Rajasthan while contributing to economic development, tourism, and seamless interstate transportation.
