Two New Flyovers Planned at Rajiv Chowk
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken a major step toward reducing traffic congestion at Rajiv Chowk, one of Gurugram’s busiest intersections. A preliminary land acquisition plan has been prepared for the construction of two proposed flyovers, which are expected to improve traffic movement in the area.
Land Acquisition Process Underway
To make the project possible, NHAI has identified areas where land may be required for the proposed infrastructure. The preliminary plan will help officials assess the extent of acquisition needed and streamline the approval process before construction begins.
Focus on Easing Traffic Congestion
Rajiv Chowk experiences heavy traffic throughout the day, especially during peak hours when long queues of vehicles are common. The proposed flyovers are aimed at reducing bottlenecks, improving travel time, and ensuring smoother connectivity for commuters using major routes passing through the junction.
Long-Term Infrastructure Upgrade
The project is part of broader efforts to strengthen Gurugram’s road network and accommodate rising traffic volumes in the coming years. Once completed, the flyovers are expected to enhance traffic efficiency and support the city’s growing transportation needs.
