Gurugram–Jhajjar Highway Project Nears Planning Stage
A major Haryana infrastructure project is moving forward as authorities plan a new highway connecting Gurugram and Jhajjar. The proposed corridor is expected to improve NCR connectivity, reduce travel time, and support the growing demand for better road infrastructure in the region. Officials have submitted three route options to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for evaluation before the project enters its next phase.
NHAI to Select the Most Suitable Route
The NHAI will carefully study all three proposed alignments to determine the most practical and efficient route for the Gurugram–Jhajjar Highway. Factors such as traffic flow, land availability, environmental impact, and future urban expansion will be considered during the review. Once the preferred alignment receives approval, work on the Detailed Project Report (DPR) will begin, laying the foundation for the highway’s construction.
