Delhi Metro Expansion Announced

The Delhi Metro will be expanded with seven new routes to improve connectivity across the capital. The plan aims to make travel smoother and more efficient for daily commuters.

65 New Stations Planned

Around 65 new stations will be constructed under this project. These stations will help reduce overcrowding and make metro access easier, especially in developing and densely populated areas.

97 KM Network Expansion

The expansion will add nearly 97 kilometers to the existing metro network. This will significantly increase coverage and reduce travel time across long distances in the city.

Key Areas to Be Connected

Important areas like Narela, Najafgarh, Jor Bagh, and Shastri Park will be linked through the new routes. This will improve connectivity between outer and central parts of Delhi.

Boost to Urban Transport

This project is expected to strengthen Delhi’s public transport system. It will encourage more people to use metro services, reducing traffic congestion and pollution in the city.
