NHAI Issues Final Warning to Expressway Contractor

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a final notice to the contractor responsible for renovating the 28-km Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway stretch. The agency has warned that failure to make significant progress could lead to replacement of the contractor.

 June 30 Deadline Set

NHAI has set June 30 as the deadline for the contractor to demonstrate substantial progress on the project. Officials are closely monitoring the pace of work to ensure the long-delayed renovation is completed without further setbacks.

 Focus on Faster Infrastructure Development

The renovation project aims to improve road quality, reduce congestion, and enhance commuter safety along one of the busiest corridors connecting Delhi and Gurugram. Timely execution is considered essential for smoother traffic movement.

 Strict Action if Delays Continue

If the contractor fails to meet the required progress by the deadline, NHAI may appoint a new agency to complete the remaining work. The move reflects the authority’s commitment to ensuring infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently.
